Well, I'm back! Exhausted. But soooo happy! I met Billie! t'was a great day...
Left home at 2 o'clock, picked up my mate and left for Liverpool Street Station! After a long journey to Oxford Street, finally made it to Waterstones at 4:30pm - bought the book *half price*! - and got our place in the queue - by this time there were loads of people in front of us already - some had been queuing for hours! To give you an idea of the scale of the event, we were numbers 93, 94 and 95 in the queue and there were at least 3 times that number by the time the event started!
So, it was approaching 5:50pm and the tension was rising...you could clearly see when we came in the chairs set up for Billie to sit at and in front of this was loads of paparizzi. By this time we had moved to behind a book shelf (stupid queue) so we couldn't see anything that was going on - however, we heard all the cameras flashing so we knew something must be going on! Then about 6pm, a huge cheer from the crowd and there was loads of flashing (of cameras, not people...). Of course we couldn't see anything at this point. However, as we got closer if we stood on our tiptoes we could see Billie's head. Great.
After a long wait in the queue (well, 45 mins), being stuck in the boring book section ("hey look, let's learn chinese while we're here - '5001 chinese verbs' book ") we got to the front of the queue!! and omg i couldn't believe it!! We weren't allowed to take personal stuff in to get signed so i quickly stuffed my DW magazine in my bag haha...the bouncer guy saw that I had a card and he pointed at it and i said "oh, i've just got her a card.." and he said "it's not christmas yet" (to which i replied: "haha... " rather weakly)...
and there i was thrust forward...my turn next!! This guy in front of me had like 5 books to get signed by her and Billie didn't really talk to him so as she was sitting there she turned to me and my friend and smiled!! The lady who was showing us where to go said: "awww have you got her a card?!" i said yeah and she goes "awww that's sweet!" then took my book and gave it to Billie and THIS WAS IT!!! ;D Convo:
Billie: Hiya!
Me: Hellooo!
B: How are you? [while signing my book]
M: OK thanks, how are you?!
B: I'm cool thanks!
M: Um, I got you a card...
B: Aw thank you, that's so sweet!
M: Um, I help run a fansite for you and inside are some messages from the er....m...m...your fans!!
B: Aw that's so sweet! Come here!!
[gives me a big hug!!]
B: oooh picture!
[got a picture done]
M: Thank you so much!
B: That's OK, Bye chickpea!
argh!!!!
Then my mate went up to her and Billie said "are you mates?" and my friend said yeah and Billie replied, "awww, mates rock!"
So I took a picture of my friend and Billie (I was so badly shaking at this point, I was worried the pic would come out all blurry, but thank God it didn't!)
Then we all said goodbye and that was it!
But raaaah my Gosh it was such an amazing day, worth all the wait! Billie is SO nice, there's no fakeness to her at all, and she's so pretty in person too! And tiny!
sooo pictures pictures pictures!! what you've all been waiting for!
me and Billie: (she is holding the card I gave her) And I had to block my face out because I lok awful - I wouldn't in other circumstances but I really do!!
Billie: (taken with my friend but I don't want to post a pic of my mate without her knowing!)
I was soooo badly shaking afterwards - this was the kind of photos I was taking....
My autograph!!!
I read some of the book in the queue and it was awesome! You can really relate to some of it, too, surprisingly!
Sorry for rambling everyone but I'm still on cloud 9 - I met Billie Piper!! *squeeee!!!*
Hope everyone else who's going has a fantastic time too!!
