Doctor Who wins six awards. Doctor Who had a bumper night at the BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Cymru Awards on Saturday night, scooping six awards for the 2005 series. The winners were: Best Drama Series/Serial - Phil Collinson Best Director - James Hawes (The Christmas Invasion) Best Make-Up - Davy Jones/Neil Gorton Best Costume - Lucinda Wright Best Director of Photography - Ernie Vincze (The Christmas Invasion) Executive Producer and writer Russell T Davies was also honoured - he took home the prestigious Siân Phillips Award, which is given each year to the Welsh man or woman who has made the most outstanding contribution to either film or network television. As you can see from the picture (taken by Huw John and courtesy of Bafta Cymru), Russell looks suitably delighted! Huge congratulations to all of the winners - and look out for the main UK BAFTA TV awards ceremony, to be held on 7 May. Taken from bbc.co.uk
